Rhino Plate offers ballistic and blunt object protection. Rhino Plate’s ballistic barrier has been certified by the Oregon Ballistic Laboratory to provide protection up to .44 magnum. Expedient to install to allow for quick response in hazardous environments such as civil protests or active shooter situations. “First responders are no longer seen as neutral parties in civil protests or potential active shooter situations,” said Rich Schalter, CEO of Rosenbauer Motors. “Scene safety is the number one priority for police, fire, and EMS. First responders cannot take their safety for granted. We choose to offer Rhino Plate to give departments an viable option for protective barriers.” When installed vehicle windows are still fully functional and allow occupants to fully communicate with people outside of the vehicle.
