Rosenbauer Holds Home Day

|
Lyons, SD - July 1, 2009 - Rosenbauer recently held a "mini" Home Day for some of South Dakota's government officials.

Representatives from both the House and the Senate included the following:  Ben Ready, Economic Development Advisor for Senator Thune; Matt Varilek, Economic Development Director for Senator Johnson; Steven Dahlmeier, Southeast Area Director for Congresswoman Herseth-Sandlin; and Amy Bilka-Skilbred, assistant for Senator Johnson's office.

Harold Boer, President of Rosenbauer America, and staff discussed with the attendees the impact that Rosenbauer America has on the state of South Dakota.

Matt Varilek, Economic Development Director, commented, "I was very impressed by the magnitude of which Rosenbauer America contributes to South Dakota's economy. They are one of the larger employers of the state and I learned that they recently became the state's number one exporter of goods. That's a great revenue generator."

The Home Day concluded with Harold Boer thanking everyone for their past support of the Assistance to Firefighters Act and urged them to support funding at past levels. It was pointed out how this act provided much needed funds to the fire departments in South Dakota and how it also benefited South Dakota economically.
