Roadrunner Watertowers

Built entirely at Rosenbauer, the Roadrunner is a true multi-purpose apparatus offering the firepower of a full pumper combined with the reach of an aerial. The Roadrunner features a high-powered, wide sweeping nozzle capable of dousing fires from any angle and is available on a custom or commercial chassis with a variety of tank sizes. With foam system and chemical extinguishing options, the Roadrunner is also a powerful industrial firefighting device. So now you can show fires who's really in charge.
If your department is looking for a piece of equipment with the maneuverability and features of a pumper but with superior water deployment in addition of rescue capabilities of an aerial, the Rosenbauer Road-Runner has it all.
Improved aerial control. Like other Rosenbauer aerial models, the Roadrunner's boom is operated by three controllers, allowing smooth and accurate aerial placement. An optional radio remote control is available for situations where operating the aerial from a safe or more visible area is design.
Nozzle at the aerial tip is flow-tested up to 1500 GPM
The Rosenbauer Road-Runner can be continently mounted on a full line of custom chassis. If your budget is limited you can also choose several commercial chassis.
Rosenbauer Roadrunner provides a versatile fire fighting unit to handle the scene in multiple situations.
Real firepower. The Roadrunner flows water more powerfully than other booms with a unique nozzle that sweeps not only 180 degrees above the boom at a full 1250 to 1500 GPM based on monitor selection.
Performance from above or below. Equipped with a stable boom and high output nozzle, the Roadrunner dips below grade to -10 degrees. This versatility puts you in control of water flow and in control of the situation.
Maintain constant communications. Whether in a side mount or rear mount pump design, the Roadrunner
The Rosenbauer Road-Runner has all of the features of a standard engine company along with an elevated water tower and aerial all packaged in a short maneuverable vehicle.
Reach higher. The Roadrunner aerial boom stretches to 68', while most comparable devices top out at 50' to 65'. With an elevation sweep from -10 to 80 degrees, the Roadrunner has the widest operations range of its class. The aerial's 500 lb. rated tip capacity also allows multiple firefighters to climb when needed.
A variety of body styles to meet your neesd. The Roadrunner is available in a rear mount pump configuration which offers even more compartment space. In either model, the simple pumper-style hosebed accommodates a full load of supply or attack lines. The Roadrunner in available with a rear-mounted fire pump for maximum compartment space.
Roadrunner mounted on commercial chassis. Aerial modified with ladders removed.
Customization, customization, Customization !!! Your Rosenbauer representative wants to help you build the vehicle that fits your Fire Departments needs. The Road-Runner allows you to customize the compartments, doors, plumbing and control stations the way you want them.
Plenty of room in compartments with a mixture of D-ring and roll-up compartment door configurations.
The Roadrunner uses four angled A-frame stabilizers to achieve maximum stability on uneven terrain and allows set-up in close proximity to obstacles. The "jack" legs and aerial torque box are hot-dip galvanized for maximum strength and longevity.
GREEN Star Idle Reduction Technology

Reduce Fuel Consumption
Nationally, 80% of runs are EMS or non-Fire related calls. Chassis diesel engines use up to 1.5 gallons of fuel per hour idling. Save up to 1.25 gallons of fuel using the GREEN Star™ idle reduction technology system. Our system maintains apparatus 12 volt system, 120 volt system and chassis heating and cooling systems when the fire pump is not engaged.

Meeting EPA Emission Standards
To comply with the EPA's revised emission standards, OEM chassis manufacturers are using Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) that can become clogged due to frequent idling. DPF service can cost as much as $5,000 per truck. Rosenbauer's GREEN Star™ system utilizes an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) to bypass the main chassis engine, reducing the strain on the DPF, saving thousands in fuel expenses and service fees.

Go Green! Recieve Some Green
Auxiliary Power Units (APU) are eligible in many states for up to 100% reimbursement from Clean Diesel Grant program funds. Contact your local Rosenbauer for assistance finding grants available in your area.

Reduces operating costs
Fuel, oil changes, DPF service all can cost into the thousands. Start saving through the use of idle reduction technology by Rosenbauer.

Rosenbauer NH Series Pumps

Pump Ratings: NH 500 GPM at 150 psi, NH 750 GPM at 150 psi, NH 1000 GPM at 150 psi, NH 1250 GPM at 150 psi

Design: Multi-stage high pressure/volume fire pump

Pump Construction: High-grade alloy pump and accurately balanced impellers mounted on a stainless steel shaft.

Gear Case: Constructed from high-strength, low noise and helical cut for maximum transfer of power to pump. Multiple final drive gear ratios are available for maximum performance.

Gears: Gears are high strength, low noise and helical cut for maximum transfer of power to pump. Multiple final drive gear ratios are available for maximum performance.

Impellers: High-grade, light alloy impellers and diffusers

Priming System: Powered by a Rosenbauer positive displacement double-acting piston pump with oil bath lubricated moving parts. Primer pump is belt-driven from the pump gear case and automatically actuated when the pump is engaged. The priming pump disengages as prime is achieved and positive pressure is attained. Oils and lubricants are not expelled into the atmosphere in the priming process. A primer oil reservoir is not required and never needs refilling.

Rosenbauer Fix Mix High Pressure Foam System

Rosenbauer Fix Mix High Pressure Foam System

The Rosenbauer Fix Mix high pressure foam system provides CAFS-like foam as a reliable alternative to other more costly and complicated foam equipment and is optional on Rosenbauer NH Series fire pumps. This fully mechanical system requires no electricity, hydraulics or calibration to keep operations simple with low maintenance. The Fix Mix system enables flows of high pressure foam and normal pressure simultaneously, both in stationary and pump-and-roll operation.

Rosenbauer MAX CAFS

Rosenbauer Max CAFS

Designed to maximize every gallon. Rosenbauer's Max CAFS is a high-performance, economical compressed air foam system designed to make the most of your water power. The Max CAFS injects air into the foam solution, forming a stronger solution comprised of "bublets." This injection process delivers a more efficient fire stream and increase stream reach.
