Rosenbauer introduces the three section 101' Cobra platform firetruck. This Cobra features the first of it's kind Aerial Command Seat (ACS). We've taken the best technology fire apparatus available to offer the Aerial Command Seat (ACS). Reduce the physical stress of running your department's aerial during onscene operations.
Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel - Get maximum protection against corrosion with our Hot-Dipped Galvanizing process. By dipping the entire aerial with our Hot Dipped Galvanizing process. By dipping the entire aerial section, we coat the tubing inside and out to reduce the chance for corrosion, making your aerial virtually maintenance free. Our stabilizers and tourque tube boxes come hot dipped standard.

The Rosenbauer COBRA mid-mount aerial platform provide a lower profile and a lower overall height allowing this aerial to stationed in bays with shorter fire department doors. The Rosenbauer COBRA mid –mount platform are available in 75’, 85’ and 100’ lengths.
Rosenbauer Cobra Mid-Mount platforms provide a lower profile for better overhead clearance. And like all Rosenbauer apparatus aerials, they're engineered to give firefighters complete control of any situation.
Convenient storage. The rear of the truck has outrigger controls, slide-in ladder storage and low-mount hosebed.

Platform collision protection. Pressure sensors stop the aerial as soon as the platform comes into contact with any object.
Remote operation. The Rosenbauer wireless remote controls the aerial and monitor effectively from up to 300 feet away.
Easy maintenance. Main bearing bolts can be checked and re-torqued from the top, and an eccentric planetary drive makes it easy to control backlash.
Soft-touch aerial controls. Smooth operation is ensured with electronic over hydraulic controls. No abrupt starts and stops with a Rosenbauer platform.
Cab and Body Protection. The Rosenbauer platform is programmed to help prevent vehicle damage.
The Rosenbauer Smart Aerial system uses sensors and electronics to allow operation on the short jack side. This system also helps prevent maneuvering to an unsafe position and is optional on all Rosenbauer Viper Aerials.
Plenty of room in compartments with a mixture of D-ring and roll-up compartment door configurations.

GREEN Star Idle Reduction Technology

Reduce Fuel Consumption
Nationally, 80% of runs are EMS or non-Fire related calls. Chassis diesel engines use up to 1.5 gallons of fuel per hour idling. Save up to 1.25 gallons of fuel using the GREEN Star™ idle reduction technology system. Our system maintains apparatus 12 volt system, 120 volt sytem and chassis heating and cooling systems when the fire pump is not engaged.


Meeting EPA Emission Standards
To comply with the EPA's revised emission standards, OEM chassis manufacturers are using Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) that can become clogged due to frequent idling. DPF service can cost as much as $5,000 per truck. Rosenbauer's GREEN Star™ system utilizes an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) to bypass the main chassis engine, reducing the strain on the DPF, saving thousands in fuel expenses and service fees.

Rosenbauer Aerial Command Seat

Aerial Command Seat
Aerial Command Seat (ACS) affords great visibility for aerial operations. With the ACS, operators will have control of the aerial and waterway monitor functions at their fingertips. The ACS is going to be an added benefit for operators' stations at the turntable while having personnel in the on the aerial or in a platform operating the aerial. It will add extra comfort on long lasting fires and reduce the stress on firemen standing for long periods of time. The new, single joystick controls the aerial raise/lower function, as well as the extend/retract and left-to-right functions. By simply flipping a switch, the monitor's stream, pattern, up/down and left-to-right functions can equally be controlled from the joystick.  The joystick will also be able to activate the aerial's AC and DC lights, as well as switch the aerial speed between high and low. Four different lights on the joystick will illuminate to indicate which functions are selected. The Can-Bus joystick uses the latest technology allowing our in-house staff to set-up each Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to assure a safe, smooth and easy-to-operate aerial using this single control. (Not available on T-Rex or Raptor)

EZ Load Hosebed
Loading hose on aerial hosebed's is now safer with Rosenbauer's EXCLUSIVE EZ Load electric hosebed. The hosebed simply lowers off the side of apparatus for easy access to the well. Capable to stowing 1500 ft.of rubberized 5" intake hose. Our control switch is mounted at the rear of the body.
