The development work took two years and in February 2012, it reached its crowning conclusion at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. During a ride and drive event, 300 invited guests were able to study, test and be amazed by the new Rosenbauer Commander Custom Chassis. Moreover, just two months later, the sales launch began at the FDIC, the largest fire industry fair in the USA. The entire Commander from the chassis to the roof monitor is produced on a one-stop shopping basis and therefore Rosenbauer has now become a single source supplier for the North American fire services.
